Q1 . If I have just witnessed a Crime or see something suspicious in progress?

A1. If you witness a crime in progress, a crime has just occurred or someone is in danger,

dial 911.

For all other complaints call 328-4444.

Q2. If I have been involved in an accident?

A2. If you have been involved in an accident?

If there are injuries call 911

If you think one of the drivers may be impaired by alcohol call the regular complain line at 328-4444

If you have been involved in an accident you will need to exchange drivers license, vehicle registration and insurance documents with any other drivers involved. If the combined damage is over $1000.00, or there are injuries you must by law make a Police report. You must also make a Police report if the accident is a hit & run. Otherwise parties can contact their insurance companies.

If the vehicles are moveable you can attend the front counter of the Lethbridge Regional Police station to fill out a report.

Q4. If my car has been impounded?

A4. If the Police have impounded your vehicle, you can contact the Lethbridge Regional Police compound located at 280 5th Street North. Phone # 330-5159. You may be asked for identification, proof of ownership and insurance documents so have them ready.

Q5. If I need a criminal record check?

A5. If you need a Criminal Record check the forms can be obtained from the front counter of the Police Station or downloaded from this site. Criminal record checks are only performed for Lethbridge and Coaldale residents and cannot be mailed in. They take 8 to 10 days to process. You must fill out the form and attend with it to the front counter of the Police station. You will need two pieces of identification one of which must be photo ID. The fees are as follows: $55.00 for a pre employment check and practicum student check. $10.00 for a volunteer position.

A6. If you find some property you think may be stolen or lost please contact the regular complaint line 328-4444.

A7. If you have information about who may be responsible for a crime, and you wish to remain anonymous you can contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. Otherwise call the Lethbridge Regional Police Service at 327-2210 or attend to front counter of the Police station.

A8. If you want to be involved in Crime Prevention in the City of Lethbridge or the town of Coaldale contact Cst. Blaine Stodolka @ 330-5020.

A9. If you think a Member of the Lethbridge Regional Police has treated you unfairly you can contact the on duty Staff Sergeant either by attending the front counter of the Police station or calling 330-5013.

A10. If you would like to recognize a Member of the Lethbridge Regional Police Service for a job well done you can relay the information to the on duty Staff Sergeant any time of day @ 330-5013, or during regular business hours to the Office of the Chief of Police 327-2210
