Civilian Fingerprinting Services

The Lethbridge Police Service provides civilian fingerprint services for the following:

  • Immigration
  • Citizenship
  • Foreign Travel
  • Visas
  • US Waivers
  • Legal Name Changes
  • Pardon Applications
  • Vulnerable Sector
  • Adoption (Canadian and international)
  • Privacy Act / Criminal Record Requests
  • Volunteer Employment
  • Federal and Provincial Employment; and
  • All other non-criminal purposes

Fingerprinting services are available digitally or by ink.

Appointments are available Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30 am – 5:30 pm and Wednesday from 9:00 am-3:30 pm  at the Lethbridge Police Service. To book an appointment please call: 403-330-5015.

Fingerprinting Process

Vulnerable Sector / Criminal Record Verification

  1. The Lethbridge Police Service will notify you, in writing, if you are required to provide fingerprints for the Vulnerable Sector and/or Criminal Record Verification.

All other fingerprinting services

  1. Call 403-330-5015 and book your appointment.
  2. Attend the Lethbridge Police Service with Government issued photo identification and any additional forms if required. For example: if the United States have requested fingerprints and have sent FBI or NBI forms please inform during your booking and bring to your appointment.
  3. Applicable fees will be collected by the front desk Commissionaire and they will direct you to your appointment.
  4. Lethbridge Police Service is on a “live” feed to the to the RCMP database.  Any fingerprints that are required to be forwarded to the RCMP in Ottawa are done so in real time.

Fingerprints for vulnerable sector, criminal record and criminal record verifications will be emailed to the Criminal Record Unit; you will be notified of the results by mail.
