Lethbridge police are investigating a motorcycle collision Wednesday evening that resulted in a 51-year-old man sustaining life-threatening injuries.
On April 18, 2018 at approximately 7 p.m. police responded to a report of a motorcycle collision at the intersection of 3 Avenue and 12 B Street South.
Investigation determined a motorcycle, operated by a 51-year-old Nobleford man, was westbound on 3 Avenue South when it struck a Volkswagen Jetta that was facing southbound on 12 B Street and attempted to turn eastbound. The force of the impact caused the motorcyclist to be ejected from the bike. He was subsequently transported to hospital by EMS and later flown to Calgary with life-threatening head and spinal injuries. He remains in hospital in critical condition.
The investigation is ongoing and charges are pending.
