Five people facing charges for drug and property offences

Lethbridge Police have charged three men and two women with drug and property crimes after a warrant was executed Tuesday at a downtown home.

On September 25, 2018 at approximately 2:45 p.m. members of the Downtown Policing Unit with assistance from Patrols, the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit and Priority Crimes Unit, executed a search warrant at a home along the 600 block of 8 Street South. Multiple people were located inside the home and police seized heroin, methamphetamine, approximately $15,000 worth of stolen property including tools, high end bikes, electronics and more than 100 backpacks and purses, credit cards, cheques and other property consistent with car prowling items that had been traded for drugs.

Victor Cassidy Running Rabbit, 32, of Lethbridge, is charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, four counts of possession of stolen property, three counts of breach of a recognizance and one count of possession of identity documents. He was remanded to appear in court Sept. 28.

Rodney Kesley Bottle, 36, of Cardston is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of stolen property over $5,000, two counts of possession of stolen property and one count of breach of a recognizance. He was remanded to appear in court Sept. 27.

Jesse Dean Davidson, 24, of Lethbridge, is charged with seven counts of possession of a stolen credit card and one count of possession of an identity document. He was released to appear in court Oct. 5.

Diane Taylor Smith, 20, of Lethbridge, is charged with one count of possession of stolen property. She was released on a promise to appear in court Nov. 13.

Mariah Shanice Old Shoes, 24, of Lethbridge, is charged with one count of unauthorized possession of a prohibited/restricted weapon (spring loaded knife). She was released on a promise to appear in court Nov. 13.
