Four Lethbridge residents are facing drug-related charges after an investigation by the Lethbridge Regional Police Service Priority Crimes Unit. Simultaneous search warrants were conducted on the evening of August 14th in the 900-block of 7th Street North.Lethbridge Regional Police Service Priority Crimes Unit led the investigation, along with assistance from the Identification Section, Patrol Division, Canine Unit, and the Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team’s Safer Communities and Neighbourhoods unit. The investigation focused on two problem properties in north Lethbridge that have plagued the neighbourhood with suspected drug activity.
As a result of this investigation the following people have been charged:
- Charles Howard (43) - 3 counts possession of a controlled substance, 1 count of a prohibited weapon;
- Charlene Kane (44) – 3 counts possession of a controlled substance, 1 count of a prohibited weapon;
- Crystal Sackman (29) – 1 charge of possession of stolen property under $5000, and 1 charge of theft under $5000;
- Forest Visser (20) – 1 charge of Breach of Recognizance.
The investigation is ongoing and further charges are anticipated.
