Lethbridge Police have determined the Lethbridge College was not referenced in a concerning social media post reported last night and there was never any threat to students or staff.
On October 4, 2017 at approximately 9:30 p.m. a number of Lethbridge College students reported a message on Snap Chat which stated “LSA students” should not go to school because someone was planning on killing people. Investigation by LPS subsequently determined the message originated out of province and was referencing a school in another jurisdiction.
There was never any danger to the Lethbridge College or local community in relation to this matter.
The LPS investigation has been concluded and no further information will be released.
