Lethbridge man charged in connection with robbery of taxi driver

Lethbridge Police have charged a 31-year-old male in connection with an incident where a taxi driver was robbed at knife point.

On March 20, 2019 at approximately 11:30 p.m. a taxi driver picked up a male along the 1500 block of 1 Avenue North and drove him to the 500 block of 12 B Street North. The male subsequently produced a knife and demanded the driver’s cash and cell phone. Both were turned over and the subject fled into an alley. The driver was not injured. Following investigation the suspect was identified. On March 21 he attended the police station and turned himself in.

Thomas Justin Brown, 31, of Lethbridge, is charged with robbery. Brown appeared before a Justice of the Peace and was released on a recognizance. He is scheduled to appear in court April 15.
