Lethbridge Police have charged a 36-year-old man in connection with a robbery early Sunday morning at a north side convenience store.
On Feb. 5, 2017 just before 6:30 a.m. a masked man entered 7-Eleven along the 2600 block of Scenic Drive North, threatened the clerks with a screwdriver and demanded cash and cigarettes. An undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes were provided and the male fled from the store. He was subsequently arrested by police a short distance away and the stolen property was recovered. No one was injured.
Matthew Justin Farrell, 36, of Lethbridge is charged with two counts of robbery and one count each of possession of an offensive weapon dangerous to the public and being disguised during the commission of an offence. Farrell was scheduled to appear in court today.
