Lethbridge man charged following weapons incident on city bus

Lethbridge Police have charged a 33-year-old man following a weapons incident Thursday night in the downtown core. 

On November 24, 2016, at approximately 6:30 p.m. police responded to a report of a male with a handgun on a city transit bus. Police located the bus parked in the 500 block of 4 Avenue South. The male was observed sitting in the rear of the bus holding what appeared to be a revolver-style pistol. The male was confronted by police and taken into custody without incident. Two starter pistols, capable of firing blanks were recovered. No one was injured.

Victor Running Rabbit, 33, of Lethbridge is charged with numerous criminal code offences and was remanded for bail hearing on Nov. 30.
