Lethbridge man charged with internal theft

Lethbridge Regional Police have charged a 58-year-old man in connection with an internal theft from the University of Lethbridge.

In October police responded to a report of suspicious banking activity involving a 58-year-old male and an investigation by members of the Economic Crimes Unit was subsequently initiated.

Investigation determined that between December 2012 and November 2014 a 58-year-old man, who was employed as a parking manager at the University of Lethbridge, stole money from campus parking meters totaling nearly $60,000.

Richard Douglas Lutwick, 58, is charged with theft over $5,000. He is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 28.
