Lethbridge man charged in mischief spree

Lethbridge police have charged a 21-year-old man in connection with a mischief spree in the Victoria Park area.

Investigation determined that during the early morning hours of June 29, 2017 a male spray painted numerous vehicles and properties and also entered vehicles in the south side neighbourhood. In total, police received more than two dozen reports of damaged property and car prowling. Damages are estimated at approximately $25,000.

A suspect was subsequently identified after video surveillance of the male was posted to social media by neighbours. He was later located and arrested without incident.

Travis Anthony Shaw, 21, is charged with 23 counts of mischief under $5,000, one count of mischief over $5,000 and was issued two tickets for tampering with a motor vehicle.  Shaw is currently in custody.
