Lethbridge man charged with sexual interference, sexual assault of teenaged girl

Lethbridge Regional Police have charged a 34-year-old man in connection with the sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl.

On Nov. 28, 2015 police responded to a report of a sexual assault. Investigation determined that on Nov. 27, 2015 a 34-year-old male met a 14-year-old female at the mall and later sexually assaulted her at a south side residence. The victim knew the accused by an alias, but they were not well-acquainted. Through further investigation the subject was identified, located and arrested without incident.

Kalvin Freddy Spear Chief, 34, of Lethbridge, is charged with two counts each of sexual assault and sexual interference and one count of invitation to sexual touching.

Spear Chief was remanded in custody to appear in court today.
