Lethbridge man facing drug trafficking charges

Members of the ALERT Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit-Lethbridge have charged a 31-year-old man with drug offences after cocaine and cash were seized from a westside apartment building.

 On March 5, 2014 CFSEU officers executed a search warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act at a unit in an apartment building along Berkeley Place West. One male was located and arrested without incident and police recovered approximately 40 grams of cocaine, $1,425 in cash, drug paraphernalia and an imitation firearm.

 The estimated street value of the drugs is approximately $4,040.

 Walid Mohamed Nour, 31, of Lethbridge, is charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of the proceeds of crime and possession of a prohibited weapon. He was remanded to appear in court today.
