Lethbridge Police have charged a 34-year-old woman in connection with an ongoing investigation into the passing of counterfeit currency at local businesses.
On March 1, 2018 members of the Economic Crimes Unit, with assistance from the Priority Crimes Unit and Patrols, executed three search warrants – at a hotel room, westside residence and a U-haul. Some of US bills had serial numbers matching those of several bills passed at local business over the past week. A stolen licence plate, printer and other items were also recovered.
