Male located and arrested in connection with break and enter

UPDATE: Police have located and arrested a 37-year-old male charged in connection with a break and enter.

Police thank the public for their assistance.

On Nov. 2, 2013 at approximately 12:10 a.m. police responded to a report of a break and enter that occurred earlier in the night at a residence along the 1100 block of 8 Avenue South. Liquor, clothing and an airsoft pellet gun were stolen.

 Following further investigation a male suspect was later identified.

 On January 1, 2014 a search warrant was obtained and executed at the male’s home. No one was inside the residence at the time however police recovered break-in tools and ammunition.

 Jason Douglas Schultz, 37, is charged with break, enter and commit theft and possession of ammunition contrary to an order.

 Schultz is a suspect in other property crimes in the city and is also wanted in connection with break and enters in Ontario.

 Schultz’s whereabouts is currently unknown and police are asking anyone with information to call 403-328-4444 or Crime Stoppers 1-800-222-8477. Schultz has a history of violence and the public is advised not to approach him. In an emergency call 911.
