Police charge Lethbridge woman with second degree murder

Lethbridge Regional Police have charged a 21-year-old woman with murder in connection with the death of a 43-year-old woman during the early morning hours Monday.

On Feb. 23, 2015 just after 3 a.m. police responded to a report of an injured woman at a residence along the 300 block of 19 Street North. Upon arrival, police located Katheline Amber Buck, of Coaldale, inside the home. EMS also attended and Buck was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 21-year-old woman was arrested in connection with Buck’s death following a traffic stop along the 200 block of 13 Street North a short time later.

Further investigation determined that the victim and 21-year-old woman had been at an acquaintance’s home when a physical altercation ensued over a past dispute resulting in Buck’s death.

Julie-Ann Nicky Agerskov, 21, of Lethbridge, is charged with second degree murder. Agerskov has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear in court March 9.

Investigation is ongoing.
