Police charge male and female in connection with numerous break-ins

Lethbridge Police have charged a 24-year-old woman and 29-year-old man in connection with a string of residential break and enters.

Members of the Priority Crimes Unit, with assistance from Picture Butte RCMP, identified a male and female as suspects in a recent string of break ins. On June 27 the pair were located by police in possession of a stolen vehicle at a city gas station. Both fled on foot and the female was apprehended a short distance away. Following further investigation the male was later located and arrested at a city hotel. Investigation determined the pair committed six break and enters between June 13 and June 27 in Lethbridge and Picture Butte stealing a variety of property including jewelry, electronics, passports and cash. Both were subsequently charged.

 

Joshua Anthony Woodruff, 29, of Lethbridge, is charged with six counts of housebreaking and commit theft and one count of theft of a motor vehicle. Woodruff was remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear in court July 3.

 

Taylor Christine Sander, 24, of Milk River, is charged with five counts of housebreaking and commit theft and one count of theft of a motor vehicle. Sander was remanded in custody and scheduled to make her first court appearance today.

 

The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are anticipated.
