Lethbridge Police have charged a 49-year-old male with drug offences and seized methamphetamine, crack cocaine and carfentanil.
On April 2, 2019 at approximately 7:30 p.m. patrol members attended a northside pub in response to a report of an impaired driver. While investigating the complaint, officers on scene also observed a male, who was known to police, and wanted on an outstanding warrant for assault causing bodily arm. He was subsequently taken into custody and during a search incidental to arrest, police seized vials containing methamphetamine, crack cocaine and carfentanil as well as nearly $1,000 in cash and a cell phone.
Mark Anthony Brown, 49, of Lethbridge, is charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, three counts of possession of a controlled substance and breach of a condition of a recognizance.
Brown is remanded in custody and currently awaiting a Judicial Interim Release hearing.
