Police charge man in connection with robbery

 Lethbridge Regional Police have charged a 33-year-old male in connection with a robbery that occurred during the early morning hours.

 On Feb. 13, 2014 at approximately 12:31 a.m. police responded to a report of a robbery at Mac’s Convenience Store along the 300 block of Bluefox Boulevard North after a lone male holding a knife entered the store and demanded cash. An undisclosed amount of cash was handed over and the male fled. No one was injured.

 Police conducted a search of the area and located a male nearby who matched the description of the suspect. Following further investigation the male was arrested without incident and later charged. A knife and BB gun were also recovered.

 Matthew Justin Farrell, 33, is charged with robbery, carrying a concealed weapon and two counts of possession of a weapon. He was remanded to appear in court today.
