On August 16, 2019 at approximately 4:50 a.m. a masked female and male entered the Circle K/Esso gas station along the 300 block of Bluefox Boulevard North. The female approached the store clerk, brandished a gun and demanded cash while the male remained at the exit. An undisclosed amount of money was provided and both subjects fled the store and entered a dark colored vehicle, operated by a second male, which fled westbound from the area. The clerk was not injured.

On August 21, 2019 at approximately 9:56 p.m. Police and Fire responded to a 911 call reporting a house fire along the 900 block of 9 Avenue North. Eighteen fire fighters from three stations responded and the fire was extinguished within an hour. While crews were on scene, a female approached a police officer and reported there had been multiple fires inside her home – two blocks away – that she had put out herself. Fire crews attended the woman’s home along the 700 block of 9 Avenue North and spent approximately 30 minutes extinguishing hot spots. No one was injured in either fire. Damage from the fire along the 900 block of 9 Avenue North is estimated at $50,000 and damage to the residence along the 700 block of 9 Avenue North is estimated at $20,000. A fire investigator determined the fires were intentionally set.
