Police encouraging walkers and runners to lace up their sneakers for Special Olympics

The Lethbridge Police Service 4th Annual Half Marathon, 10K and 5K run is set for October 1 and walkers, joggers and runners of all skill levels are encouraged to sign-up for this fun, fall race.

This competitive race is family-friendly and suitable for everyone. Whether you are ready to tackle your first 5K, a running veteran or just looking to enjoy a beautiful walk on a fall morning, we’ve got you covered!

Participants will receive a long-sleeve shirt for race day (must sign up by Sept. 10), a finisher’s medal and there’ll be bib draws and prizes for the top runners. Family and friends are also encouraged to cheer on their racers at the Finish Line Festival in the river valley. We’ll have food trucks, vendors, a bouncy castle for the kiddos, face-painting, participant massages and more.

All proceeds from the race benefit Special Olympics.

Not a runner? We’re also looking for volunteers!
