Police investigating after male, female assaulted

 Lethbridge Regional Police have charged a 35-year-old male following an assault at a southside residence during the early morning hours Tuesday.

 On March 11, 2014 at approximately 4:15 a.m. police responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence along the 200 block of 7 A Avenue South. While enroute to the complaint a second call came in reporting an injured male at a neighboring residence. Upon arrival police located a 28-year-old man with lacerations to his upper body. EMS transported the male to hospital where he was treated and later released.

 At the residence where the disturbance was originally reported police located a 35-year-old female with facial injuries. She was transported to hospital and admitted for treatment.

 Following further investigation a 35-year-old male subject was taken into custody and has subsequently been charged with assaulting the 28-year-old male.

 Stephen Witko Fox, 35, of Lethbridge is charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and breach of a recognizance. Fox is remanded to appear in court March 18.

 Investigation is ongoing.
