Police investigating armed robbery

Lethbridge Police are investigating an armed robbery at a northside gas station that resulted in injuries to two employees.

On February 20, 2018 at approximately 2:34 a.m. police responded to Gas King along the 900 block of 5 Avenue North. Upon arrival officers located two injured employees – a 20-year-old man and 24-year-old man. Investigation determined that two unknown males, who were masked and armed with weapons, entered the store. One of the males demanded cash and subsequently assaulted both employees. An undisclosed amount of money was provided and the subjects fled the store. A search of the area was conducted but the subjects were not located. EMS transported the victims to hospital and both men were treated and released.

The investigation is ongoing and there is no further information or details available to release at this time.
