Police investigating city's fourth homicide of the year

Lethbridge Police are investigating the homicide of a nine-month old baby boy.

On April 28, 2016 Lethbridge EMS responded to a report of a baby in medical distress at a residence along the 600 block of 17 Street North. Upon arrival paramedics located nine-month-old Austin Lucas Wright inside the home. Wright wasn’t breathing and was in cardiac arrest. He was transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

An autopsy was subsequently completed by the Calgary Medical Examiner’s office.

Investigation in this matter is ongoing and at this time police are not releasing any further information.
