Police investigating drive-by paintball shooting

Lethbridge Police are investigating an assault with a weapon after paintballs were fired from a moving vehicle at several people outside the Supervised Consumption Site.

Just after midnight on August 24, 2019 a white Dodge truck drove past the Supervised Consumption Site along the 1000 block of 1 Avenue South and fired multiple paintballs at several people in the area. The victims did not sustain injuries.

The suspect vehicle is described as a white, newer model (possibly 2017-2018) Dodge Quad cab with a hard top box cover, black rims and a stock “RAM” emblem across the back tailgate. Due to the distance and speed of the moving truck the license plate number could not be obtained.

A surveillance image of the suspect truck is included for release.

Investigation in the matter is ongoing.

Anyone who was in the area and witnessed the assault, recognizes the vehicle or has information, is asked to contact police at 403-328-4444 or Crime Stoppers 1-800-222-8477
