Police investigating mischief at cemetery

Lethbridge Regional Police are investigating after multiple headstones were damaged at a local cemetery.

On September 25, 2015, employees contacted the LRPS to report 6-7 headstones being knocked over at the Mountain View Cemetery located at 1210 Scenic Drive South.  The mischief occurred sometime between the evening of Thursday September 24th and the morning of Friday September 25th, 2015.  Only one of the headstones appeared to be damaged as it had 2 small chips on the headstone and base from where it fell.   It is not known if the headstone is repairable, however, the estimated value of the headstone is between $3000 – $5000. The damaged headstone was knocked over in the “BABY WORLD” section of the cemetery and the damaged headstone was for a young child.
