Police participating in mock search and rescue training scenario

Lethbridge Regional Police will be participating in a mock training scenario this weekend with members of several southern Alberta search and rescue associations.

Four police search managers will take part in a collaborative exercise with civilian members of the Lethbridge Area Search and Rescue Association, Pincher Creek Search and Rescue and the Canadian Search Dog Association.

The mock scenario, which includes a search for missing teens in the coulees, will get underway at 8 a.m. on Nov. 1 in the river bottom.

Members of the public who observe the activity are advised it is a training exercise only.
