Police search two homes; seize drugs, cash and imitation firearms

A Lethbridge woman is facing drug charges and a man wanted on an outstanding warrant in relation to a home invasion last year in BC was apprehended Wednesday after search warrants were executed at two city homes.

On Feb. 4, 2015 at approximately 5:51 p.m. members of the Lethbridge Regional Police Priority Crimes Unit, with assistance from the Tactical Team and Patrols Section, searched two homes along the 2100 block of Palm Road South.

No one was located inside the first home, but police seized break in tools and drug paraphernalia. At the second property three people were taken into custody without incident and police seized cash, drug paraphernalia, two hand-gun style pellet pistols, several firearm rounds, a quantity of psilocybin, MDMA and suspected amphetamine powder.

Serena Lee March, 35, of Lethbridge, is charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of ammunition while bound by a firearm prohibition. March is remanded to appear in court Feb. 13.

Jeremy Christopher Doucet, 26, who has an outstanding warrant for robbery in relation to a home invasion last year in Nanaimo, is remanded in custody pending his return to BC.

A 42-year-old male, of Lethbridge, was released without charges, however investigation is ongoing and charges may be laid in future.
