Police seeking public assistance to identify suspects in bar assault

Lethbridge Police continue to investigate a weekend assault outside a city bar.

On August 17, 2019 at approximately 2:36 a.m. police responded to a report that a male had been assaulted by a group of unknown males along the 1200 block of 1 Avenue South. Investigation determined a 25-year-old male was outside Boss Hog’s with a female and got involved in a confrontation with the occupants of a white car, which briefly left the area and then returned. Several males exited and subsequently assaulted the 25-year-old man before returning to the vehicle and fleeing from the area. EMS were contacted and transported the victim to hospital where he was treated for head injuries and later released.

Further investigation has determined there was a total of six males inside the white car, believed to be a newer model Dodge Charger. Three males exited the vehicle and were directly involved in the assault. The subjects are described as follows:

Caucasian Male
Approximately 6’0
Medium/Athletic build
Brown hair

Subject 2:
Male with darker skin
Approximately 5’9”
Thin build
Dark hair

Subject 3:
Caucasian Male
Approximately 5’10”
Thin build
Brown hair

Subject 4:
Caucasian Male
Approximately 6’0
Athletic Build
Brown hair

The fifth subject is believed to be a Caucasian male and there is no description of the sixth male.

Surveillance stills of four of the subjects are included for release.

Investigation is ongoing and anyone who recognizes the suspects or has any information that could assist police in identifying them, is asked to contact A/Sgt. Liam Breedon at 403-330-5162.

There is no evidence to suggest the subjects are in any way associated to the Supervised Consumption Site contrary to initial speculation on social media.
