Sudden death of young child non-criminal in nature

Lethbridge Regional Police continue to investigate the sudden death of a two-year-old boy, however there is no evidence to suggest foul play.

At approximately 8:34 a.m. this morning police and EMS attended a south side home after receiving a report of an unresponsive toddler. The boy was pronounced deceased at his home.

Investigation is ongoing and an autopsy has been scheduled for Wednesday morning at the Medical Examiner’s Office in Calgary.

As the boy’s death is non-criminal in nature, no further information will be released.

Police are again asking media to respect the family’s privacy during this very tragic and difficult time.
