Three people facing drug charges following high-risk vehicle stop

Lethbridge Police have charged three people with drug offences following a high-risk vehicle stop Sunday.

On Aug. 7, 2016 at approximately 1 p.m. police responded to a report of three subjects in a vehicle suspected to be in possession of weapons. Patrol members located the suspect vehicle along the 400 block of 13 Street North and initiative a high-risk traffic stop. No weapons were located but a search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of marihuana, methamphetamine and $2,065 cash. The three occupants were arrested without incident and subsequently charged.

Leonard Brave Rock, 45, of Lethbridge, is charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of stolen property and breach of a recognizance. Brave Rock was remanded to appear in court today.

Ronald Quirion, 54, of Champion, is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of the proceeds of crime.

Susan Wells, 29, of Champion, is charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of the proceeds of crime.

Quirion and Wells were released on recognizances and are scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 2.
