Three subjects charged in connection with passing of counterfeit US $50 bills

Lethbridge Police have arrested two men and a woman in connection with a series of incidents involving the passing of counterfeit US $50 bills.

Since Aug. 3 there have been nine incidents reported where subjects have attended various retail locations and provided fake US $50 bills as payment.

On Aug. 16, 2016 surveillance images of two of the subjects were released in an effort to help identify them. Police received a number of tips and wish to thank the public for their assistance.

Randy Gordon Boehner, 30, of Calgary, is charged with possession of counterfeit money and possession of material for counterfeiting.

Renee Frances Holden, 25, of Calgary, is charged with possession of counterfeit money and possession of material for counterfeiting.

Holden and Boehner appeared in court this afternoon and were remanded in custody until their next court appearance Friday.

Jarrett James Hamilton, 23, of Lethbridge, is charged with possession of counterfeit money, possession of material for counterfeiting and uttering counterfeit money. Hamilton is currently remanded in custody awaiting a Judicial Interim Release hearing.
