Lethbridge Police have charged three teenaged boys with theft following a report of car prowling in the Riverstone subdivision.
On January 25, 2017 just after 3 a.m. police responded to a report of several males checking car doors along Rivermill Landing. A citizen, who observed the youths, made his presence known to the subjects and they subsequently fled the area. Upon police arrival two of the males were located and arrested and the third was located and arrested a short time later. Following a search incidental to arrest police recovered numerous items of stolen property including nearly $100 in change, ear phones, lighters, knives, gift cards, sunglasses, a cell phone, gum, cologne, cell phone charger, a back pack, shot glasses and more.
Police believe the items were stolen from multiple vehicles in the Riverstone area and are asking anyone whose vehicle has been entered to report it by calling 403-328-4444.
A 15-year-old boy, 16-year-old boy and 17-year-old boy, who cannot be identified, are each charged with theft under $5,000 and possession of stolen property.
Investigation is ongoing and further charges are possible.
