Police have charged two women in connection with an assault early Wednesday morning on the west side.
On Feb. 17, 2016 at 6:32 a.m. police and EMS responded to a report of an assault in the 900 block of Columbia Blvd. Upon arrival a 21-year-old man with multiple stab wounds was located and transported to hospital.
Investigation determined that two women, who were known to the victim, had been involved in a dispute with him which resulted in the assault. The details of the dispute are still being investigated. The women were arrested later in the day and police recovered the weapon.
The victim remains in Chinook Regional Hospital in stable condition.
Linnea Brooke White Quills, 24, of Lethbridge, is charged with obstruction and breaching the conditions of a recognizance. She is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 25.
Peggy Anne Holysinger, 22, of Lethbridge is charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon and three counts of breaching the conditions of a recognizance. She is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 18.
