Two women facing assault charges

Lethbridge Regional Police have charged two women in connection with an incident late Monday night where a 42-year-old woman was stabbed.

On Oct. 19, 2015 at approximately 10:43 p.m. police responded to a report that a woman had been stabbed outside a bar along the 400 block of 6 Street South. The victim was transported to hospital and treated for serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

Witnesses reported the subjects fled northbound on 6 Street South and officers subsequently located them in the 300 block. Police arrested a male and two females without incident.

Investigation determined the two female subjects were involved in a physical altercation with the victim who was punched, kicked and stabbed. The incident was targeted and precipitated by a previous dispute. The male was subsequently released without charges.

Jeremy Elisha Many Shots, 30, and Shawna Denise Crow Spreads His Wings, 35, both of Lethbridge, are charged with assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm. Both were remanded in custody to appear in court this morning.
