Police investigating cemetery mischief after headstones from early 1900s damaged

Lethbridge Regional Police are investigating after a dozen headstones were damaged at St. Patrick’s Cemetery.

 On March 12, 2014 police responded to a report from a city worker that a number of headstones in St. Patrick’s Cemetery along the 500 block of 6 Avenue North had been broken. The damage is believed to have occurred sometime between March 10 and March 12.

Police investigating indecent act at apartment complex

 Lethbridge Regional Police are investigating a report of a male committing an indecent act outside an apartment complex.

 On March 11, 2014 at approximately 6:30 p.m. police responded to a report that a 10-year-old girl and her friend were riding scooters outside an apartment building along the 3400 block of 20 Avenue South when they observed a male masturbating. The girl told her mother what had happened and police were contacted. Police searched the area but were unable to locate the subject.

Police investigating after male, female assaulted

 Lethbridge Regional Police have charged a 35-year-old male following an assault at a southside residence during the early morning hours Tuesday.

 On March 11, 2014 at approximately 4:15 a.m. police responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence along the 200 block of 7 A Avenue South. While enroute to the complaint a second call came in reporting an injured male at a neighboring residence. Upon arrival police located a 28-year-old man with lacerations to his upper body. EMS transported the male to hospital where he was treated and later released.

Lethbridge man facing drug trafficking charges

Members of the ALERT Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit-Lethbridge have charged a 31-year-old man with drug offences after cocaine and cash were seized from a westside apartment building.

 On March 5, 2014 CFSEU officers executed a search warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act at a unit in an apartment building along Berkeley Place West. One male was located and arrested without incident and police recovered approximately 40 grams of cocaine, $1,425 in cash, drug paraphernalia and an imitation firearm.
