Driver identified, police determine nothing criminal occurred
UPDATE: The driver of the vehicle has been identified and it has been determined that nothing criminal had occurred.

Lethbridge Police are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the driver of a vehicle involved in a suspicious interaction with an 11-year-old girl.
On August 24, 2026, at approximately 6:15 p.m., the girl was playing in front of her northside home when she was approached by an unknown vehicle. The female driver of the vehicle told the child she was trying to give away a dog and asked if the child wanted it. No attempt was made to physically force the girl into the vehicle and she immediately returned to her home.
The driver is described as an older Caucasian female with short, curly grey hair. She was accompanied by a young Caucasian boy and a black, short-haired dog. The vehicle is described as a beige, older model minivan, similar to a 2007 Honda Odyssey.
Anyone who can help to identify the driver or registered owner of the vehicle is asked to contact police at 403-328-4444 and reference file 26016895.
