Male charged with sexual assault of a 15-year-old girl; police seeking additional witnesses
Lethbridge Police have charged a 50-year-old male with sexual interference and sexual assault following an incident at a south-side home.
On April 22, police received a report that a 15-year-old girl had been sexually assaulted after midnight on April 19 while attending a party at a south-side residence. Investigation revealed that the adult male homeowner had taken the girl into a bathroom under the pretense of examining a sunburn she had sustained earlier that day. While inside, the male touched the girl inappropriately. She subsequently left the residence and was picked up by her parent.
Andrew Brian Davies, 50, is charged with sexual interference and sexual assault of a person under 16. Following a Judicial Interim Release hearing, Davies was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on June 19.
