Male facing charges following domestic incident where firearm was discharged

Lethbridge Police have charged a 21-year old male with multiple offences following an incident that resulted in a firearm being discharged at a northside home.
On Friday, March 1, 2024, members of the Lethbridge Police Service responded to a report of a domestic incident at a residence along 13 Avenue North where a firearm was alleged to have been shot. The victim had fled the residence and was able to call police from a neighboring home. While assisting the victim, the male subject exited the home and surrendered to police. During a subsequent search of the home, police seized a shotgun, ammunition and other weapons.
The 21-year-old male is charged with attempted murder, uttering threats, mischief to property, two counts of assault with a weapon, and numerous firearms charges. The male is currently in police custody and is awaiting a Judicial Interim Release Hearing.
As this is a case involving domestic violence, in order to protect the identity of the victim, the name of the 21-year-old male will not be released.
