Police charge male with breach of release conditions
Lethbridge Police have charged a 36-year-old male with breaching release conditions that stem from previous child sexual abuse charges.
On May 6, police responded to a report of a vulnerable 15-year-old girl getting into a vehicle with an adult male at a northside pool parking lot. A traffic stop was conducted and further investigation determined the driver was bound by conditions prohibiting him from any contact with children under the age of 16 and attending any daycare, school, school yard, playground, youth shelter, swimming pool or public park.
The conditions were imposed following the subject’s release from custody in connection with 2025 cases where he was charged with child sexual assault and possessing and accessing child pornography.
David Alejandro Hernandez, 36, of Lethbridge, is charged with two counts of breaching release conditions.
Hernandez is currently in custody awaiting a Judicial Interim Releasing hearing.
