Police charge third male with first degree murder
Lethbridge Police arrested and charged a 42-year-old male with first degree murder – the third subject to be charged in connection with the death of a 27-year-old man.
The male was arrested late Monday night following the execution of search warrants at two residences along Mt Crandell Crescent. Two other males were previously arrested March 28.
On March 27, at approximately 6:30 a.m., police and EMS responded to a report of an assault at an apartment complex along the 200 block of 7 A Avenue South. Upon arrival, an unresponsive male was located inside one of the units and later pronounced deceased at the scene. The victim has been identified as a 27-year-old Lethbridge man.
Evidence indicates this was a targeted incident between parties known to one another.
Nicholas Rodney Scout, 42, of Lethbridge, is charged with one count of first degree murder. Scout is currently in custody awaiting a Judicial Interim Releasing hearing.
The investigation is ongoing.
