Police investigating stabbing outside downtown nightclub, seeking witnesses

Lethbridge Police are investigating an incident where a 24-year-old man sustained life-threatening injuries after he was stabbed outside a downtown club.

On June 8, at approximately 4 a.m., police responded to a report from Chinook Regional Hospital that a male with stab injuries had been brought to the emergency room by friends. Following further investigation, police believe the male was assaulted outside Club Lime along the 1200 block of 1 Avenue South. It was reported a group of people were seen running from the area. 

Police are asking anyone who was in the area of the 1200 block of 1 Avenue South between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. on June 8 to come forward. Call police at 403-328-4444 and reference file 24010788. 

The victim has been released from hospital and the investigation is ongoing. 

No further information is available for release at this time.
