Police seeking information in connection with assault

Lethbridge Police are seeking information in connection with a serious assault where a woman was stabbed.

On May 17, around 9:30 p.m., police responded to a report that a 26-year-old woman had been stabbed by an unknown male and female on the south side of 2 A Avenue North in the 1200 block near the A&W building.  The woman was transported to hospital for treatment of serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Police canvased the area at the time, but were unable to locate anyone matching the description of the subjects. Further follow-up has been conducted, including a review of video surveillance, however no suspects have been identified at this time. 

Subject 1: Described as an Indigenous male, approximately 20-years-old, 5’7” with short hair. He was wearing a black hoodie. 

Subject 2: Described as an Indigenous female, approximately 20-years-old, with black shoulder-length hair, wearing a black hat and black hoodie.

Police are asking anyone who may have information about this incident to call 403-328-4444 and reference file 24009207. Anonymous tips can also be provided to Crime Stoppers at www.p3tips.com or by calling 1-800-222-8477. Crime Stoppers will pay cash for information leading to an arrest.
