Victim identified; subject charged with weapons offence

The subject has been charged in relation to the weapons offence and additional charges related to the altercation are pending.
Ty Michael Swatske, 22, is charged with possession of a weapon dangerous to the public and obstructing a peace officer. He was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court June 17.

Lethbridge Police are seeking assistance to identify the victim involved in an altercation at Henderson Lake.
On May 3, at approximately 6:30 p.m., police responded to Henderson Lake after a report of an altercation between two males northeast of the golf clubhouse on the walking path. A witness reported one male threatened another with a weapon. Both subjects left prior to police arrival, but an officer patrolling the area observed a male matching the subject’s description crossing Parkside Dr. The male fled from police and was observed throwing what appeared to be a knife in a backyard. He was taken into custody a short time later and a search of the yard resulted in police recovering the knife.
The subject remains in custody and the investigation into the altercation at Henderson Lake is ongoing.
The victim is described as a male with ginger hair and a ginger beard. He was wearing orange shorts, a black t-shirt, an orange helmet and riding a long board or skateboard. It is unknown if there are any additional victims.
Police are asking the victim(s) in this incident to come forward. Police are also seeking any additional witnesses who may have observed the altercation.
