Police seeking witnesses, anyone with information in street robbery

Lethbridge Police are asking anyone who witnessed a street robbery or has information that could assist the investigation, to come forward.

On April 26, around 2 p.m., a 77-year-old male was robbed while he was walking along Grizzly Road North toward 28 Street North. The senior was approached by an unknown male and female, who forcefully grabbed him and stole a valuable chain necklace he had been wearing, before fleeing the area in a white, four-door sedan.

The first subject is described as an East Asian male, approximately 35-40 years old. The second subject is described as an East Asian female, approximately 35-40, wearing a blue head wrapping.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information that could assist police, is asked to call 403-328-4444 and reference file 24007597.

Anonymous tips can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers at www.p3tips.com or by calling 1-800-222-8477. Crime Stoppers will pay up to $2,000 cash for information leading to an arrest.
