As a result of information from the public, the vehicle has been located.
The investigation is ongoing.

Lethbridge Police are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the driver involved in a hit and run collision with a male riding a scooter.
On July 18, at approximately 9:46 a.m., police and EMS attended a collision at the intersection of 5 Avenue and 13 Street South. Investigation determined a 26-year-old male, operating a rental scooter, was westbound on 5 Avenue South when he attempted to cross 13 Street South and was struck by a northbound Pontiac Grand Am. The driver of the Grand Am initially stopped, walked over to the scooter and removed it from the roadway before getting back into his vehicle and driving away. The driver made no attempt to check on the victim or exchange information. The victim was transported by EMS to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver is described as short, elderly, Caucasian male with grey hair and a hunched back. He was wearing a t-shirt and jeans. The vehicle is described as an early 2000s model, tan or grey Pontiac Grand Am. The Grand Am has existing damage to the driver’s side rear bumper and new damage from the collision to the passenger side front headlight area.
The driver of the vehicle, or anyone with information about the identity of the driver, is asked to come forward. Call police at 403-328-4444 and reference file 26014063.
