“This year, we’ve had three partner organizations donate time and space in their facilities so that we can connect with and educate community members about the importance of fraud awareness and prevention,” says Sergeant Kevin Talbot of the Lethbridge Police Service Economic Crimes Unit. “We’re so grateful to the Lethbridge Senior Citizens Organization (LSCO), the Nord-Bridge Senior Centre, and the Cor Van Raay YMCA for their generosity; allowing us to host these information sessions for the public at no cost.”
Additional fraud prevention resources can also be accessed on the Lethbridge Police’s Frauds and Scam webpage or through the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre. Becoming educated about frauds and scams is the best way to protect yourself and your loved ones.
