Edmonton male charged with back-to-back drug trafficking offences
Lethbridge Police have charged a 23-year-old Edmonton man with drug trafficking offences after he was arrested in back-to-back incidents in late December.
On December 30, 2025, members of the Crime Suppression Team, observed a male subject operating a blue Honda Accord engaged in activity consistent with drug trafficking. A targeted traffic stop was subsequently initiated and upon police approaching the vehicle, the driver and lone occupant, was observed attempting to swallow multiple baggies of suspected cocaine. The 23-year-old male was arrested and a search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of just over 14 grams of cocaine, 30 unknown pills and over $700 in cash. He was subsequently charged and later released from custody.
On December 31, 2025, members of the Crime Suppression Team and Property Crimes Unit observed the same male operating the blue Honda Accord meet with a male operating a white Chevrolet Impala in a residential area in Coalhurst, and conduct a suspicious transaction. As the males attempted to return to their respective vehicles they were arrested. Both subjects and vehicles were subsequently searched. In total, police seized $7,900 in cash and four ounces of cocaine.
Police later obtained and executed a search warrant at a home being used as an Airbnb along Devonia Circle West and nearly $16,500 in cash was seized.
Gavan Ray Workman, 23, of Edmonton, is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of the proceeds of crime under $5,000 and possession of the proceeds of crime over $5,000. Following his second arrest December 31, Workman was remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear in court January 22.
Connor Normand Quinn, 19, of Spruce Grove, is charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of the proceeds of crime over $5,000. Quinn was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court January 22.
