Police charge male with attempted murder (1)

Lethbridge Police have charged a 21-year-old male with the attempted murder of his twin brother.

On December 6, just before 10:30 p.m. police responded to a report of a stabbing at a home along Lakemount Boulevard South. Upon arrival, a 21-year-old male was found in medical distress and transported by EMS to hospital. The subject was arrested without incident on scene and a knife, believed to have been used in the attack, was seized from the home.

Further investigation determined the brothers had been involved in an argument that escalated to a physical altercation. Evidence was obtained indicating the accused stabbed the victim multiple times and believed he had killed him.

Bayley Nathaniel Minoose, 21, of Cardston, is charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault and assault with a weapon. Minoose was remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear in court December 9.

The 21-year-old victim has been released from hospital and is recovering from his injuries.
