Police investigating assault, seeking information

Lethbridge Police are investigating an assault where a 55-year-old male was attacked by a group of people. 

On September 15, just after 4:30 a.m. police responded to an assault along the 200 block of 7 Street North. An injured male was located and transported by EMS to hospital where he was treated and has since been discharged. 

Following further investigation, police determined the assault involved a large group of people, with some using weapons to strike the victim. 

The following descriptions of the assailants were provided:

  • Person 1 in a brown jacket, black pants, black shoes
  • Person 2 in white pants, white hoodie, black and white shoes
  • Person 3 with a dark hat, grey hoodie, grey pants
  • Person 4 in black hoodie blue pants, black shoes
  • Person 5 pushing a black bicycle with a red hat, blue shirt, brown pants, black shoes
  • Person 6 in a black sweater and brown pants
  • Person 7 on a scooter with black hoodie and white emblems, black pants and black and white shoes

There was also a dog observed with group. No description of the dog was provided. 

Anyone who has information that could assist the investigation is asked to call police at 403-328-4444 and reference file 25017950. Anonymous tips can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers at www.p3tips.com or 1-800-222-8477. Crime Stoppers will pay cash for information leading to an arrest(s).
